Work Group Volunteer
The AASM is looking for a group of subject matter experts to work alongside staff to develop content for a new pediatric sleep medicine certificate program. The intended certificate audience are sleep medicine fellows in training, pediatricians who are not board-certified in sleep medicine and advanced practice providers (APPs). To ensure a well-rounded point of view, the AASM desires members with pediatric expertise who are facility program directors, experienced educators, pediatric sleep specialists or early career pediatric physicians.
Work group members will be asked to attend an in-person project kick-off meeting in early 2025. Volunteer time is estimated 60-75 hours total. This includes the time to attend the in-person meeting, other meetings, and individual time to develop the content over the span of this work group project.
Mandate: The ASTEP Pediatric Sleep Medicine work group will develop the content for a new AASM certificate program, “ASTEP Introduction to Pediatric Sleep Medicine for Clinicians.”
