Task Force Member
Service as a task force member is a 3-4-year appointment and requires participation on bi-monthly conference calls to develop a project charter, review literature search results and statistical analyses as needed, and draft a clinical practice guideline or clinical guidance statement, following the clinical practice guideline development process.
Call for Volunteers to serve as task force members to develop guidance documents for the following guideline topics:
- Diagnostic Testing for Adult OSA (FOCUSED UPDATE)
- Combination Therapy for Insomnia (NEW GUIDELINE)
- Use of HSAT in Pediatric Populations (UPDATE)
Each guideline task force will consist of 5-7 members.
Mandate:
Develop practice guidelines on the assigned diagnostic or therapeutic intervention based on published evidence and clinical expertise in the topic area.
Goals for guideline project:
- Develop and finalize a project charter.
- Review published evidence, and any statistical analyses of the data, on the topic.
- Draft clinical guidance document (and any accompanying documents) on the assigned topic based on the published evidence, any statistical analyses, and task force expertise.
- Address feedback received during public comment period or from external reviewers, if applicable.

Committee, task force and panel members are required to disclose any relevant conflicts when appointed in order to determine the appropriate management of conflicts. Any new conflicts that arise during a member’s term must also be disclosed at that time.
